Today I have a layout for you that features the Close to my Heart Stamp of the Month and a piece of my hair that I apparently did not notice when photographing the layout. This is the real world people! : ) Anyway, I apologize for that and hopefully you'll be able to appreciate the cuteness of this layout. I recreated the layout that's featured on page 41 of our Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog. It uses the stamp set, of course, along with one of our new papers called Florence. I created cake layers on their matching pedestals and colored them with our watercolor pencils before trimming them out. I also used a blending pen in some of the areas to smear the watercolor pencil and make it look more like watercoloring. I love the effect that creates. I created a banner with an old triangle punch I had or you could cut those out on your Cricut and then used the Cricut Artbooking cartridge to create the word "Love". One of my favorite parts is the piece of whisper card stock in the bottom right corner where I randomly stamped "So Sweet" as a background. Such a cute layout!
Here are the Close to my Heart products I used to make this project. To purchase any of the items shown, simply click on the photo and you will be taken to my online store.
Tomorrow I'll have the first of a three day series on cards that were made using the "Happy Times" paper pack which you can earn for FREE this month.
