I hope you all are enjoying your week and I'll talk to you tomorrow!
Today I have the last in my series of Out with the Old and in with the New layouts. I, again, used some old Close to my Heart B&T paper along with some Kiwi Lane templates to create the layout. I've had a few questions about Kiwi Lane templates so I'll be doing a video in the upcoming weeks to show you how I use those. I also wanted to remind everyone that today is the last day to take advantage of our March Special where you buy two stamp sets and get one of equal or lesser value for free. Don't miss out on this fantastic offer because it doesn't come up often.
I hope you all are enjoying your week and I'll talk to you tomorrow!
Today I have a bright and cheerful birthday layout using an old birthday paper pack from Close to my Heart. I think it will be wonderful for a kid's birthday. Using Kiwi Lane templates, I created a variety of shapes to add interest with pops of yellow to really make the layout stand out. I've really enjoyed using up old sets of paper this week. There's nothing like the feeling of cleaning up your old stash of paper. I can't wait to be able to fill those empty spots with our new upcoming products. I'll be sharing sneak peeks of those products with you over the upcoming weeks.
Today's layout has kind of a fall theme but could be used in the Spring as well because of it's pinks and blues. This paper pack is from a few Close to my Heart catalogs ago and I only had several half sheets of card stock so I had to get creative to make it work. I, again, used Kiwi Lane scrapbook templates to cut out the borders and shapes you see. I'm really getting into the Kiwi Lane template craze. I will not use them for every layout I do but I really like the look of finished layouts after using their templates. It just helps to have another avenue of creativity when making scrapbook layouts. All paper used is from Close to my Heart.
Keep in mind that you only have 3 more days to purchase our Hello Paradise stamp set. If you purchase this stamp set plus one more, it entitles you to another stamp set of equal or lesser value for free as part of our Stampganza event in March. That's three stamp sets for the price of two! To purchase, simply visit my Close to my Heart website.
This week on the blog, the theme is out with the old and in with the new. We have a new catalog coming out on April 1 and I'm trying to use up as much of my old stash of paper as possible to make room for all the new and exciting products coming out. Hopefully the layouts will inspire you to use some of your old paper. I used some Kiwi Lane templates to help frame up this layout as well as some matching stickers for accents. Over the upcoming week, I'll have a new layout for you everyday that uses some of my old paper stash.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. I visited my family in St. Louis and we had a wonderful time. More memories to capture!

My husband and I took a trip to Kelleys Island in Northern Ohio several months ago. I am just now getting around to scrapbooking it and I wanted to show you the first layout I came up with as an introduction to our trip. I wanted to include the informational brochure that we saved containing a map of the island and some of the landmarks we visited so I created a sleeve using the Cricut Artfully Sent Cartridge from Close to my Heart. This cartridge contains a huge selection of sleeve cards so I chose this polka dot one because I wanted to be able to see through it to the brochure. I measured my brochure and then made sure the sizing of my sleeve would hold it and it came out perfectly. I also used the 50 States Cartridge from Cricut Design Space to cut out the state of Ohio. Unfortunately, it's not included in the subscription but it was only 90 cents so who's complaining? The golf cart is from the All Sports cartridge and I flattened this one to a print and cut just to speed up the process. I didn't want to have to cut multiple layers and piece them together on this one and I think it looks great as a single layer print and cut. I also put pictures on the layout! You so rarely see my pictures on the blog but here I am along with my husband in all our glory! We had a blast on that trip riding our little golf cart around the island.
I used Close to my Heart paper of course and the B&T paper on the right side is from an old discontinued paper pack. This brings me to my theme for next weeks blog posts called "Out with the Old and In with the New." We have a new catalog coming out on April 1 so I want to clear out my old stash of papers to get ready for all of my new products! While you won't be able to purchase any of the papers I'll be showing next week, I hope you'll still get inspiration from my layouts. Can't wait to show you everything and I can't wait to get through all of my old paper. I try very hard not to be wasteful!
See you next week!
Here is my second layout made using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge from Close to my Heart. This one is perfect for my recent cruise vacation and the days we spent on the beach soaking up the wonderful sun. I love the simplicity of the layout. The cute photo frames bring your attention straight to the photos while still giving them a little pizzaz. The left side of the layout is so bright and I just love the palm tree and waves on the photo frame. Won't take any time at all to get my pictures on this layout and be done and the Cricut Explore did all the work for me!

As I mentioned on Monday, I just returned from a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. It was a wonderful trip but I gotta tell you that I am dragging quite a bit this week for ideas. In other words, my creative mojo is still in Turks and Caicos I think. I decided to pull out my Cricut Artbooking cartridge again and rediscover the layouts it has to offer. I found two layouts that work perfectly for pictures that I have printed and ready to scrap and here's one of them. This will be for my nephew's baseball pictures. The team photo will fit perfectly on the left side and his individual photos on the right side. I think the layout is amazing and you can customize it with whatever ball you like. It originally had a soccer ball but I changed it to a baseball with just a few clicks in Cricut Design Space. I used all Close to my Heart cardstock of course!
I'll have another layout for you tomorrow that's perfect for my cruise vacation pictures so stay tuned...
Today's layout comes to you courtesy of Close to my Heart's zip strips. What are zip strips you ask? They are the adorable 1/2 X 12 inch strips of decorated paper that come at the top of each of our B&T papers. They are made to match each of the paper packs they are included in and can serve as excellent accents to your scrapbook layouts. For this layout, I happened to have several leftover from the Penelope paper pack so I decided to layer them as a border. I then used the top zip strip as my inspiration for the heart circle embellishment that I cut from Cricut Design Space. With accents of pixie and white daisy cardstock as my photo mats, a picture my life card from the Penelope paper pack, and some matching washi tape, I'm ready to go! Hope you enjoy!
